“Stories in Stitches” is an amazing exhibition of hundreds of quilts, hooked rugs and other needlework artistry. This is beautiful craft in the beautiful setting of St. Paul’s church and parish hall in downtown Charlottetown (Grafton at Church St.) It runs from September 26 to 30th — Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:00 to 5:00, from 10:00 until 7:00 on Friday, and again till 5:00 on Saturday. Admission is just $5.
There are special attractions: active demonstrations by outstanding rug-hooking and quilting artisans; a crafted pillow competition; a ‘mystery quilt’ whose creator needs to be identified. And look for the quilted car on the front lawn!
